The story
Every chapter added
another lens.

Mayank's career has never been one straight line. Commerce, CA, photography, a family business, finance, banking, project finance, technology, CRM, entrepreneurship and leadership have each added another lens to the way he sees a business.

That range became a strength. He learned to look at a problem from the owner's side, the employee's side, the finance side, the process side and the technology side.

The shift into CRM and technology revealed something natural: he could sit with a business owner, understand what was really going on, and turn it into requirements, structure and systems that people would actually use. Not as a developer — as the person who understands both sides.

Today, his value is often in the space between perspectives — understanding a business problem, structuring it, knowing what technology can realistically solve, understanding the people involved, and finding the expertise required when something falls outside his own knowledge.

Journey

A career builtthrough pivots.

Each chapter added another perspective. None of it was wasted.

Foundation

Commerce → CA

Commerce education and CA articleship created the early foundation in finance, discipline and business. The CA path changed, but the learning remained.

Exploration

Photography → family business

Early work outside a conventional path brought direct exposure to customers, responsibility, uncertainty and running something of his own.

Finance

Credit → banking → project finance

Working across credit, banking and project finance taught him how businesses make decisions around money, documentation, growth and risk.

Technology

Zoho → business systems

The shift into CRM and technology revealed a natural strength: understanding business requirements and turning them into practical systems and processes.

Leadership

Director, Reformiqo

Leading software implementation and ERP work — where business reality, people and technology have to meet every single day.

Entrepreneurship

The Tiny Apps Company

Product building became another way to turn recurring problems into focused tools, without losing sight of the business behind the software. Today that includes SpacePartner for coworking spaces and ERPBlueprint for ERP requirements.

Today

Director → founder → author

Mayank now works across business technology, leadership, product building and writing — still learning, still building, still asking questions.

Lens

How he looksat a problem.

01 · Business
General POV

“The business needs a better system.”

Mayank's POV

“Before changing the system, understand why the business is struggling. The problem may not be technology at all.”

02 · Technology
General POV

“Tell the developer what features you need.”

Mayank's POV

“The business owner shouldn't have to learn technology to explain a business problem. Someone has to understand both sides.”

03 · Adoption
General POV

“The system is implemented. Why aren't people using it?”

Mayank's POV

“Implementation isn't the finish line. People need to understand why the change matters to them.”

04 · Team
General POV

“We need an expert.”

Mayank's POV

“First understand what expertise is actually missing. Then find the right person to bring it in.”

Leadership

Build people whodon't need you forever.

The goal of leadership is not permanent dependence. It is growth.

01

Respect

People should be treated with respect even when expectations are high.

02

Ownership

A good system creates ownership instead of making every decision travel upward.

03

Growth

The people around a company should have a path to become stronger than they were yesterday.

04

Relationships

Long-term trust matters more than short-term transactions.

01

Make it simpler

Complexity is often a signal that something has not been understood deeply enough.

02

People first

A system only works when the people using it understand and accept it.

03

Know what you don't know

You don't have to know everything. You need to know how to find the right expertise.

04

Keep your word

Trust is built through consistency, responsibility and relationships.

05

Keep learning

Every role, failure and transition can become another lens on life.

06

Everything is temporary

Whatever you are feeling today is your present, not necessarily your future.

The human layer

The deeper story is in the book.

Childhood loss, a hostel at nine, failed attempts, twenty-five interviews, a footpath in Surat, a company and a son. The memoir is where the perspective on this page comes from.
